Earlier today we finished up our first full carbon fiber aero kit for a BMW F15 X5 M Sport. The end product was spectacular! The carbon fiber pieces on a white X5 looks very clean and out in the sun the carbon stood out and gave it a much racer feel.
This BMW X5 F15 was purchased full loaded with the 4.4L V8 twin turbo power plant and with the M Sport package. This X5 might not be an M car but with this engine making over 400HP it is definitely quick for a SAV that is over 2.5 tons.
The carbon fiber front lip spoiler and rear diffuser and based from the M Performance parts from BMW and then the owner also went with a set of carbon fiber mirror cap replacements. Each piece is made out of real carbon fiber fabric in a 2×2 weave pattern.
Each piece is given a brilliant clear coat to protect the carbon fiber and give it that glossy finish that sparkles in the sun. Each and every product including these X5 parts are quality checked and shipped from our facility in Southern California.
The mirror caps are installed using clips just like the OEM mirrors. The diffuser and front lip are little more involved to install. Both come with a plastic bracket that is used to install the pieces and require self taping screws and 3M double side tape.
