After a few months we were finally able to snap some nice pictures of our newly released DTM trunk spoiler for the Mercedes W205 C Class models. This particular trunk spoiler was installed on a white C63S AMG.
This spoiler installs using 3M double sided tape and will require removal of the OEM trunk spoiler. To remove the OEM spoiler we recommend using dental floss, a heat gun, goo gone and a polish.
First heat up the adhesive then start to saw through the adhesive using the floss. Once completed use the goo gone to clear away any old residue or tape. Lastly, use the polish to rub out any fine scratches or residue left over.
To apply the new DTM spoiler, mock up the spoiler on the trunk and tape off the ends with masking tape. Apply the new 3M double sided tape to the back, making sure the tape reaches to the ends of the spoiler, and remove the backing.
Place the spoiler on the trunk and once it is in place, apply even pressure for several minutes. Once these steps are done, you can take your W205 out and enjoy your new carbon fiber trunk spoiler from RW Carbon.
